Pricing
$75 per hour of active instruction.
$25 in-person fee per session.
ACT/SAT Sessions
ACT/SAT sessions are scheduled in two-hour blocks.
A standard eight-session tutoring schedule will cost $1200 if conducted online, $1400 if in-person.
Prepayment for scheduled sessions is not requested.
Payment for an in-person session is due at the session via check. A Square invoice will be emailed following each online session for that session.
If the tutor runs over the two-hour window at his discretion, the student will only be charged for two hours.
If the session is ended early at the tutor’s discretion due to lack of errors or content requiring review, the student will only be charged for the time used. This is extremely unusual, only occurring for some students scoring 33+.
If the session is ended early at the student’s request, the student will be charged for the full two-hour session.
Cancellation Policy
Any session cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the session’s start time is subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Future tutoring is contingent on payment of the cancellation fee.
In cases such as illness or family emergency, the cancellation fee may be waived at the tutor’s discretion. Frequent rescheduling will require enforcement of the cancellation policy.
In the unlikely event that the tutor needs to reschedule a session, the tutor will reach out as quickly as possible to offer alternative dates and times.
Grading Policy
For online students, any bubblesheet submitted by 10 PM the day before the session will be graded by the instructor before the session. Any bubblesheet submitted after 10 PM the day before the session will be graded by the instructor at the start of the session and count as active instruction time.
For in-person students, homework will be graded quickly at the session, which is more efficient than transferring scoring from graded bubblesheets.
